Fathers Day at Vintage Garage Chicago

Yesterday was Father’s Day, so I planned a trip to Vintage Garage Chicago for Dave because the theme was Vintage Vinyl. My hubby loves his old punk records and he never has time to go dig through the bins like he did when he was young and single, so I thought we’d make a trip to his happy place.

When we got out of the truck, the first thing we saw was this gorgeous old classic. Someday…

And I finally got to meet Melissa Sands, who organizes the event. We’ve been friends online for awhile. It’s always fun to meet folks face to face after you’ve chatted online for so long. I’m such a fan of hard working creative women!

Our little guy and I stopped for a break. Lucky me, getting to hang out with 2 of the best looking boys in Chicago!

Dave “in the zone”, flipping through the bins like a seasoned pro.

Lots and lots of old vinyl everywhere.

So much fun to shop while great tunes are spun by Chirp Radio (Chicago Independent Radio Project). It really upped the atmosphere and made it extra enjoyable.

At the end of it all, we took home a vintage mid-century student desk and an ice bucket. The beautiful old chair will be going to my booth at Jackson Square Antique Mall.

I hope you all had as much fun or more for your Fathers Day weekend!
