Project update: our 1962 Shasta Airflyte

And after this past weekend:

Painting & new awning

Gave it a good rubdown with a wire brush then took her over to the car wash for a good scrubbing and pressure wash, then taped off and painted with good ol’ Rustoleum. Still need to do the white on the other 3 sides, rewire the lights so we can lose the temp ones that are ziptied to the bumper, then find an attractive solution for the areas that used to have old plywood covering big cutouts on the curb side. Somewhere along the way, the stripe received quite a bit of over spray from a paint job as you can see from the picture, so I need to take some steel wool and buff that off.

I also spent quite a bit of time at the sewing machine making a coordinating cabana stripe awning. More on that later.
