Another piece of inspiration I brought back from our recent trip to New Orleans is the richness of a dramatic dining room.
I love the drama of a fabulous, drippy chandelier paired with ornate mirrors, beautiful curtains, and a big, long table. The only thing really missing at this point is something for the sad, plain ceiling. So after researching our options, I decided our best option would be to paint something to better fill in the white space around the centerpiece light fixture.

So the plan for this weekend is to take this project on and hopefully have some great “after” pics to share next week. I’ve ordered the Marie Antoinette Medallion stencil from Cutting Edge Stencils and plan to use liquid silver leaf for the paint. If anyone has any tips, I’d sure appreciate them now!
