You know you’re a grown up when the thing you want most in the world is a motion-activated camera to put out by your bird feeders so you can sneek peeks at your avian buddies. So my Christmas present to us was the Wildgame Innovations 6.0 Mega Pixel Digital Game Scouting Camera With Infrared Flash and Realtree Camo. (Amazon shopping link)
So far we’ve captured shots of male and female cardinals, house finches, gold finches, black-capped chickadees, and juncos in addition to blurry shots of Dave or myself setting the thing up or taking it off the tree.
Have you ever tried anything like this? Any other enthusiastic backyard bird fans? What kind of feeders do you put out and who comes to visit?
