“If you’ve managed to stay employed since 9/11, you probably don’t suck.”
Someone told me that if I have managed to remain gainfully employed since the dot com crash that coincided with 9/11, that I might just be better at what I do than I give myself credit for. It’s so easy to doubt yourself when curve balls are thrown your way. Thank goodness for incontrovertible examples like a solid portfolio and references who say nicer things about me than I can for myself.
I was unemployed for all of 2 days. Thank God. Truly. In this day, who knows how long it could have been?
I start my new job on the 25th as the Director of Interactive Services at a large, well-established agency downtown. This is the most perfect gig for me. I made a mental list of my dream job. I knew what I wanted it to be, where I wanted to work, what I wanted to build and here it is.
