It actually happens…Woman gives birth on the side of the Eisenhower
This was a serious concern for us when Will’s due date was approaching. Living in the Chicago suburbs but working downtown meant a 50/50 chance that I was going to be far from the hospital when I went into labor. If we chose a hospital downtown and I went into labor at home or if we chose a hospital near home and I went into labor at work, either way it’s a serious situation for many moms-to-be.
“Judy went into labor just after 3 a.m. and left for Northwestern Hospital with her husband, Tracy, shortly after. They made it to the inbound Ike at Cicero when they had to pull over. With the help of her husband, Judy gave birth in the front seat of her car.”
